## What is OpenDoorSim?

OpenDoorSim (ODS) is a personal, open-source RFID lab designed for ease of use and wide compatibility. It simulates Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) by connecting to real readers, so you can hack (or defend) the real thing!

All iterations of OpenDoorSim are based on the same ODS board.

With ODS, at-home experiments, big CTFs, hands-on workshops, banger demos and advanced research are a breeze. It works with any Wiegand or (soon) OSDP reader, and fits easily in your bag. Sporting a fresh web UI with a mirrored virtual display, an on-device hardware menu, and multiple modes to make life easy, you may find it hard to put down...

## Who It's For

OpenDoorSim is built for anyone who needs an RFID / PACS lab:

* **Vulnerability Researchers** who want a quick and easy way to set up, research, and demo their findings.
* **Students** looking to learn about RFID, card and reader vulnerabilities, and physical security.
* **CTF Organizers** who want a turnkey, interactive solution for RFID / PACS challenges.
* **Industry Professionals** who want to test equipment, validate configurations, and demo their RFID cards and readers, .
* **Hobbyists & Makers** who want a satisfying weekend build that interacts with real world RFID hardware.

If you can turn a screwdriver, use a soldering iron, and run a terminal, you have everything you need to get started.
